Graphic Designer

Tasked with designing a new logo and stationery for Wholehearted KC, a therapy practice, I embarked on a creative journey with the therapeutic muse. Harnessing the power of advanced graphic design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I brought to life a unique logo, captivating business card, and elegant stationery items. Techniques such as gradients played a starring role in the design, breathing life into the navy-to-pink transition on the business card. I opted for a vector graphic for the logo, ensuring scalability without a hint of quality compromise.

In crafting the emblem for Wholehearted KC, elements and principles of design were my closest allies. The logo – a heart shape adorned with wings and encased by KC letters – was a visual metaphor for the practice’s ethos. The color gradient, transitioning from navy to pink, cast a glow of warmth and sophistication, while angel wings added texture and form. I married balance with hierarchy in placing the text and logo elements, always mindful of the client’s vision. Feedback from peers and the client herself was welcomed with open arms, serving as the raw material for design revisions. In the final design, my focus turned to the finer details – typography for readability, a color palette that was both warm and welcoming, and a layout that blended sophistication with charm. The final testament to my craftsmanship lay in the clarity and resolution of the image, the understanding of an established grid and format, and the accurate representation of color in print.
