Graphic Designer

In my first technical software class, I was tasked with creating a digital collage that captures my designer identity, a task that took me on a steep learning curve. I conjured up a modern, edgy concert-like poster using Adobe Photoshop, an essential tool for manipulating and creating graphics. Layer masks and adjustment layers were my allies in crafting the background and blending the phoenix wings with the sun-holding woman. The elements of design took center stage, with color infusing the poster with a bold, edgy aura, peach clouds adding warmth, and a starry night sky providing depth and contrast. Line and shape played their part too, with the dynamic composition owed to the phoenix wings’ movement and the balance offered by the modern building.

The ideation phase of the project was a rigorous exercise in self-exploration, as I aimed to create something unique that spoke to my design style and personality. My deep connection with the phoenix and photography sparked the concept for the visually striking design. Ethics weren’t ignored; all images were royalty-free and credited appropriately. Feedback was a boon, enhancing the legibility of the text at the bottom of the image as suggested by my peers. In turn, I provided constructive criticism to others during peer reviews. My commitment to the given directions and specifications was unwavering. The final poster stands as a testament to excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail, with clear, high-resolution elements, accurate colors, and easily readable typography. I also ensured optimal screen display by converting the file into an appropriate format for screen publication.
